Terms of Service
1. Description of the Service
Volana is an AI-native calendar, task, and planning application. It combines a unified calendar and task board with an embedded AI assistant, Luna, that can propose schedules, break work into subtasks, reschedule your day, and, where you have granted permission, take actions on your calendar and tasks directly. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Volana (the "Service").
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract to use Volana and must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you sign in with a third-party provider, such as Google, you are also subject to that provider's terms.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Volana only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the Service. This includes not attempting to abuse, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data. Full details are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
4. AI Output Disclaimer
Luna's scheduling suggestions, task breakdowns, replans, and any autonomous actions it takes on your calendar or tasks are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing Luna's suggestions and actions before relying on them, and for confirming that any change made to your schedule or tasks is correct. Volana is not liable for consequences arising from actions Luna takes that you approved or that were taken under permissions you granted, or for decisions you make based on Luna's output.
5. Your Content & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the calendar events, tasks, notes, and other content you create or import into Volana ("Your Content"). Volana and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the Service itself, including its application, source code, and design. By using the Service, you grant Volana a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service to you.
6. Third-Party Services
Volana integrates with third-party services such as Google Calendar, Zoom, and providers like ClickUp, Asana, Linear, GitHub, Slack, and Notion. Your use of those services through Volana is also governed by each provider's own terms and privacy policies. Volana is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.
7. Termination
You may stop using Volana and delete your account at any time from your account settings. Volana may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to Volana or other users.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Volana's liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited, and Volana is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you, and continued use of the Service may require you to re-accept the updated Terms.
