The Event Detail Modal

Open any event to see and edit everything it holds: title, date, time, location, tags, repeats, video conferencing, and attendees, all in one place.

Here is the whole thing at once. The walkthrough below tours each region in turn, top to bottom, then the sections after it go deeper on one region at a time.

Every field saves instantly

There is no separate save button. Change a field and the modal, and the calendar behind it, update the moment you make the change.

Top bar

The top bar handles navigation and quick actions. The up and down chevrons step to the previous or next event scheduled that day. The dot shows which calendar this event lives on. Close returns you to the board.

Title and Ask Luna

The title bar shows the event type, an Ask Luna shortcut scoped to just this event, and the event’s name. Click the title to rename it right there.

Multiple chat threads

Ask Luna here is not limited to one conversation either. Open the thread switcher to jump back into an earlier thread about this event, or start a new one, without losing what was already discussed. See Multiple chat threads on the task detail modal page for the fuller walkthrough; it works the same way here.

Description

A free-text area for notes, context, or links, the same as a task’s description. It saves as you type, with no separate step.

Its relationship to a connected calendar

The dot next to the top bar shows where this event lives. Most events show Volana calendar only: nothing external is required. If you’ve connected Google, Outlook, or Apple Calendar and assigned this event to it, the dot instead reflects that calendar, and edits here sync out to it. Either way, every field in this modal works exactly the same.

Creating the event in the first place doesn’t need a connected calendar either. See Volana events under Calendar for how creation works, and Connecting a calendar for syncing an external one.
