The Milestone Detail Modal

Open a milestone and it swaps the usual task detail layout for a spreadsheet-style table: every child task in one place, with the same progress bar from the board scaled up.

Child tasks in one table

Every task grouped under the milestone shows as a row: its name, date, time, priority, and tags, editable right there without opening each one individually. A repeating child task (say, “Post a teaser on social” every day this week) does not get a row per occurrence. Instead its sessions cluster into a single row with a small repeat glyph and a session count, which expands to list each date underneath.

Regular and repeating child tasks can sit in the same milestone side by side. Whichever kind a row is, checking it off (or checking off every session in a repeating row) is what drives the progress bar above the table.

Progress updates on its own

You never set a milestone’s progress by hand. It is always done child tasks divided by total child tasks, counting each session of a repeating task separately. Check a task off anywhere, on the board, in this modal, or from the task’s own detail view, and the bar here moves immediately to match.

Finishing every child task finishes the milestone

Once every child task, and every session of every repeating child task, is checked off, the milestone itself is complete: its progress bar fills all the way and the diamond glyph next to its title fills in the same way a regular task’s checkbox does. There is no separate “mark milestone complete” step. Finishing the last piece of work is what finishes the goal.
