Search and Convert

One search box reaches everything in your workspace, and everything living in a connected app too. Anything that isn’t a Volana task yet gets a Convert button.

Opening search

Search lives in your quick-access rail on the right of the workspace. Click its icon and the panel opens with your field focused, ready to type.

What search covers

Results come back grouped so you can scan them at a glance: tasks, events, and milestones first, each labeled with its type, then a separate section for anything Volana found in your connected apps.

With no query typed, the panel shows what’s coming up today. As you type, it re-ranks by how well your words match a title or note. Filters above the field narrow by type, calendar, or tag if a search turns up too much.

Converting a result to a task

A result from a connected app is a live item over there, not a task here yet. Its row carries a Convert button instead of the type badge the native results get. Click it and Volana adds the item to your backlog as a real task, no retyping or copy-pasting required.

Once converted, the item shows up like any other task, right in the same results list, and the app it came from marks it as already in Volana.
