Work Hours

Work hours are the fence around your day. Volana only schedules tasks inside them, so nothing lands at 6am or spills past dinner, and Luna replans within the same bounds.

A default window, then per-day tweaks

Set one work window for a typical day and apply it across the week. From there, adjust individual days: a short Friday, a day fully off, without touching the rest.

Per-day overrides

Each weekday has its own start and end. Change one and it’s marked as a custom day; the others keep following your default. Set a day to no hours to keep Volana from scheduling on it at all.

Timezone

Your timezone anchors every time Volana shows or schedules. It’s the IANA name (like America/Los_Angeles), and it keeps your calendar honest when you travel.

Focus goals

Alongside your work window, set a daily and weekly focus-goal in minutes, how much focused work you’re aiming for. Onboarding asks for a starting number, and your weekly goal defaults to five times the daily one; both stay editable here any time.

Volana tracks progress toward these goals on Recap, where a quiet bar fills in as logged time adds up, for the day and for the week.

Focus mode still applies

Work hours set when Volana can schedule; Focus mode sets how densely it packs that time. The two work together: see Focus mode under Planning.
